Bricks for Vets Committee
Organized to express the gratitude for all who have served our great nation to defend our freedoms. It is in gratitude that we salute each and every member of our military that we may all enjoy these freedoms and pass them on to future generations so that they too might be blessed with the American Dream.

The Bricks for Vets Committee of the Powder River Basin of Wyoming will give residents the opportunity to honor any veteran for their services in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
The military veterans of NE Wyoming, along with interested local residents, have formed a consortium to profile the premise that “All Gave Some and Some Gave All” in the ongoing fight for freedom in the United States. Lasting Legacy Park in Gillette, Wyoming has a war memorial listing all conflicts local residents fought in and the names of the soldiers who lost their lives. It is now the intention of the committee to expand this memorial to a wall of heroes, giving all citizens the opportunity to have any person who has served in the Armed Forces be recognized on a plaque or brick.
This area is the home of “United We Stand”, a sculpture by Ben Foster of Lander, Wyoming of a family saluting the American flag. We intend to also add sculptures of the various military branches along with appropriate landscaping, benches and lighting. This is an area of remembrance, honor and where residents can hold patriotic ceremonies or simply reflect on the sacrifice that so many gave to protect America.
Bricks for Vets is currently accepting donations for the piece pictured below and hopes to have it permanently in place by Veteran's Day in November, 2014.
